FedEx established a new dedicated life sciences organisation on July 13, 2026, to streamline pharmaceutical and healthcare logistics. Nick Gennari was named president of healthcare and life sciences, bringing more than 30 years of experience driving supply chain solutions for global healthcare customers. The division consolidates FedEx's global network with specialized healthcare expertise and monitoring capabilities to support the movement of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, biologics, and clinical trial shipments. FedEx healthcare revenue has reached approximately $10 billion globally under Gennari's leadership since 2024. The new organisation addresses growing demand from life sciences companies requiring specialized logistics support as medicines become increasingly specialized, globally distributed, and temperature-sensitive. The launch builds on FedEx's May 2025 achievement of IATA CEIV Pharma certification for its pharmaceutical logistics operations.
