FedEx Expands Sustainable Aviation Fuel Procurement Across Major US Hubs

FedEx has secured agreements to procure over 20 million gallons of neat sustainable aviation fuel across five major U.S. airports through the end of 2027. The agreements cover operations at Newark Liberty International, Oakland International, Miami International, John F. Kennedy International, and Dallas Fort Worth International airports. Blend ratios will range from 30% to 50% depending on location. Since last year, FedEx has sourced approximately 5 million gallons of neat SAF, resulting in deployment of 16.5 million gallons of blended fuel across its network. The expansion builds on FedEx's initial SAF deployment at Los Angeles International Airport and subsequent deliveries at Chicago-O'Hare and Miami. FedEx aims to source 30% of jet fuel from alternative sources by 2030 as part of its decarbonization strategy.
