FedEx has committed to purchasing 2,000 all-electric trucks from Harbinger in an order valued at more than $300 million. The deal marks one of the largest binding commitments for electric medium- and heavy-duty vehicles in history. The Garden Grove, California-based manufacturer will deliver the vehicles by the end of 2027 for use in pickup and delivery operations throughout the United States and Canada. The order follows FedEx's initial purchase of 53 Harbinger trucks in November 2025 and the carrier's $160 million Series C funding co-led investment. Harbinger estimates each truck will reduce annual fuel costs by $20,000 compared with diesel counterparts, translating to $800 million in savings over 20 years across the full fleet. The replacement vehicles will eliminate more than 1.7 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions over their operating lives. FedEx targets a fully electric parcel pickup and delivery fleet by 2040.
