Shippers have begun receiving tariff refund payments after the Supreme Court invalidated certain duties imposed under emergency trade powers. Oshkosh Corporation confirmed Tuesday it started collecting refunds, though the company has not yet determined its total reimbursement amount. Basic Fun, which manufactures Care Bears and Tonka trucks, also received initial payments representing just 5 percent of its total claim. The company plans to reinvest refund dollars into 2026 cash flow and employee compensation increases. Logistics carriers UPS, FedEx and DHL previously announced they will file refund claims on behalf of customers. The initial refund phase covers customs entries finalized within the past 80 days, a process anticipated to extend several months before reaching all claimants. Customs and Border Protection anticipated paying refunds totaling $35.3 million as of Monday morning.
