Freight broker FitzMark has acquired United Transportation Services, broadening its service capabilities into specialized trade show logistics. Aurora, Colorado-based UTS, founded in 1998, operates as a full-service 3PL serving retail and hospitality sectors. The company manages dry van, refrigerated, flatbed and specialty truckload transportation alongside packaging, warehousing and white-glove delivery. Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal represents FitzMark's 11th acquisition since its 2006 founding. Indianapolis-based FitzMark currently serves over 3,000 shippers and 25,000 carriers through its proprietary transportation management system. The company is backed by private equity firm Calera Capital. UTS CEO Bruce Parsons said the combination provides expanded capacity and service offerings. FitzMark founder and CEO Scott Fitzgerald emphasized that shared core values between the organizations will support the integration.
