Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi and Wyoming will share $62 million in federal transportation grants to expand truck parking capacity and develop long-term infrastructure strategies. The allocation is part of a $1.73 billion federal grant program supporting 127 transportation projects nationwide. Officials plan to construct dozens of new parking spaces and conduct planning initiatives to address future capacity demands across the five states. State transportation departments will lead implementation efforts with federal oversight.
