Flexport launched a Model Context Protocol server enabling shippers to track, quote, and book freight through conversational requests. The San Francisco-based forwarder said the integration works with Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and proprietary systems, allowing users to submit cargo details and receive booking confirmations without accessing the platform directly. The company processes 21 million tasks annually through its internal AI agents, with human oversight governing all exceptions. Concurrently, Flexport extended its Customs Technology Suite with real-time entry auditing against hundreds of regulatory rules and added a classification tool for tariff codes. The company serves more than 13,000 shippers globally. Flexport Atlas, its global trade mapping service, now covers air, rail, and barge routes alongside existing ocean freight coverage.
