Flydubai Enters Dedicated Cargo Market With Three Boeing Freighters

Flydubai is launching dedicated freighter operations starting October 1. The carrier will add three Boeing 737-800 cargo aircraft through a wet-lease agreement with SolitAir. The move complements existing bellyhold capacity across its 98-aircraft passenger fleet and positions the airline to capture fourth-quarter peak season demand. Operations will span more than 125 destinations across Africa, Central Asia, the Middle East and South Asia, offering point-to-point charter and scheduled freighter services. The aircraft will handle specialized cargo including aerospace components, pharmaceuticals, perishables and dangerous goods. Flydubai operates its cargo division from Dubai World Central with dedicated airside infrastructure and multimodal connectivity. The airline plans to evaluate adding converted freighters from 2029 onward, capitalizing on Dubai's emergence as a global e-commerce and trade hub.
