Flydubai Cargo has entered the dedicated freighter market, deploying three Boeing 737-800F aircraft capable of carrying 23 tonnes of payload each. The carrier will operate scheduled services across nine key regional routes: Doha, Kuwait, Erbil, Almaty, Karachi, Mumbai, Delhi, Hanoi, and Nairobi. Expansion is planned based on demand growth. The move addresses capacity gaps in e-commerce and specialized shipments that require more flexibility than belly space on passenger aircraft provides. Flydubai Cargo will offer a 10-product portfolio tailored to pharmaceuticals, perishables, live animals, dangerous goods, and aerospace components — sectors demanding dedicated, predictable capacity with specialized handling. Operations commence in October from Al Maktoum International Airport, positioning the carrier ahead of the Q4 peak shipping season. Shippers have increasingly signaled preference for scheduled freighter capacity over residual passenger aircraft space.
