The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration removed 12 electronic logging devices from its approved registry in a single action, marking the largest revocation event since eight devices were pulled in May 2025. The devices, manufactured by companies including MAUMAU LLC, Mondotracking Solutions, First ELD LLC, Power ELD LLC, Sam Freight Management LLC, DSG Tracking LLC, Cobra Connect LLC, and GT ELD, all failed to meet minimum technical requirements under 49 CFR Appendix A to Subpart B of Part 395. The action brings total ELDs removed since January 2025 to 79 devices, averaging 4.8 per month. FMCSA Administrator Derek Barrs emphasized that "Safety is not optional, and neither is compliance." Carriers using these devices must switch to paper logs or compliant ELD solutions by July 20, 2026. Before that date, roadside enforcement officers will not cite drivers using revoked devices. After July 20, drivers will face citations, out-of-service orders, and violations that will appear in inspection reports and carrier vetting systems.
