Forward Air Posts Strongest Quarter Since Omni Integration

Forward Air achieved its best quarterly results since integrating Omni Logistics in early 2024. Consolidated revenue reached $673 million, up 9% year-over-year, while adjusted EBITDA climbed 18% to $93 million. The expedited freight segment, which houses less-than-truckload operations, drove growth with $319 million in revenue, a 24% increase. Tonnage expanded 7% as shipments rose 2% and weight per shipment increased 5%. The carrier recorded a 9% operating margin, improving 340 basis points annually. Omni contributed $339 million in revenue with adjusted EBITDA reaching $38 million, up 28% year-over-year and representing an 11% margin. A contract logistics customer agreement reduced exposure from a potential 10% revenue loss. Forward reported a $244 million noncash goodwill impairment charge tied to customer disruption concerns.
