Freedom Intermodal Tank Services launched a bulk liquid packaging facility in New Orleans East on June 8, marking a significant expansion of the company's regional footprint. The new installation features fully automated equipment for precision filling of drums and totes, positioned adjacent to existing operations on France Road Parkway. The facility consolidates packaging, warehousing, transloading, storage, heating, blending, cleaning, trucking, and rail services under one roof. Class A warehouse space includes 38 outbound dock doors, covered truck and rail unloading, heating and blending capabilities, and a 450-railcar storage-in-transit yard. The site offers direct access to the Port of New Orleans, the New Orleans Public Belt Railroad, and all six Class I railroads serving North America. Port officials noted that this integrated approach reduces handling costs and streamlines operations for bulk liquid shippers.
