Freightos founder Zvi Schreiber is mounting a shareholder campaign to reshape the freight-booking platform's leadership and strategy. The company's board has agreed to put three of Schreiber's proposals to a vote at the December annual general meeting. Schreiber seeks removal of Chairman Udo Lange, a switch to annual director elections from the current three-year staggered terms, and a strategy refocus on rapid growth. The board declined to put the strategy recommendation to shareholders. Schreiber argues current leadership has underperformed relative to broader markets and lacks accountability. He stepped down as CEO on January 31 and later resigned from the board entirely, though he retains roughly 6% ownership. CFO Pablo Pinillos assumed the chief executive role following Schreiber's departure. The Cayman Islands-incorporated company's director terms currently span three years with staggered elections.
