Cincinnati-based Fura has acquired LG Logistics Solutions, marking the company's sixth deal in its consolidation strategy. Financial terms were not disclosed.

LG Logistics, which handles full-truckload, less-than-truckload and intermodal shipments, will migrate to Fura's shared automation platform. This transition allows the brokerage to expand capacity without proportional cost increases. The company also gains access to Surround, Fura's real-time visibility tool.

LG Logistics founder Luis Guardiola will retain operational control. Fura CEO Jeff Dangelo emphasized the company's approach differs from traditional roll-ups, which typically inherit accumulated overhead costs. Instead, the platform automates repetitive tasks, enabling acquired brokerages to operate more efficiently than as standalone entities.

The freight brokerage sector remains highly fragmented, with thousands of small operators relying on manual processes. Fura previously acquired Barton Logistics in March.
