Freight broker Fura has acquired Cincinnati-based Road Dog Logistics, bolstering its platform with approximately $30 million in annual revenue. The deal marks Fura's eighth acquisition and extends the Frisco, Texas company's reach to over $100 million in total platform revenue. Road Dog's management team will retain operational control while migrating to Fura's technology infrastructure, which includes AI-driven quoting, carrier sales tools and shipment tracking capabilities. The acquisition strengthens Fura's position in managed transportation and adds a food-and-beverage customer base. Fura targets smaller brokers generating less than $30 million annually—a market segment typically overlooked by private equity firms. Recent acquisitions include High Rise Logistics in August and LG Logistics Solutions in June. Fura's consolidation strategy focuses on migrating acquired companies onto its unified platform to reduce overhead and improve operational efficiency.
