Central banks worldwide face mounting pressure to raise interest rates as inflation concerns persist across major economies, though policymakers remain divided on the pace and timing of tightening measures.

Czech authorities are weighing rate increases while managing risks to market borrowing costs. India's central bank confirmed inflation has deteriorated sufficiently to justify higher rates, but officials disagreed on the magnitude of additional tightening required.

Elsewhere, more than 80 percent of Bank of Japan watchers expect a rate hike in December, with no move anticipated at the bank's October meeting. The Philippine central bank delivered an outsized increase and flagged readiness for further tightening to combat resurging inflation and stabilize its currency.

Israel's central bank held rates steady while projecting 5.6 percent economic growth this year. Central bankers face complex tradeoffs as they navigate divergent approaches to managing global economic crosscurrents.
