Grocery Outlet is implementing an ordering system from Afresh across its fresh, center store and general merchandise departments. The effort supports supply chain modernization and inventory management improvements.
The deployment represents the first full-store, multi-category rollout of Afresh's technology, which the vendor expanded earlier this year beyond its initial fresh perimeter focus.
Grocery Outlet, which operates through independent store operators, aims to modernize inventory management and ordering processes. The partnership is expected to reduce shrink and improve profit margins across the chain's operations.
Afresh reported that across its retailer partnerships, the ordering solution has enabled staff to cut time spent on orders in half, while retailers achieved average sales increases of 3% and shrink reductions of 25%.
The move underscores Grocery Outlet's focus on equipping stores with operational tools to support better daily decision-making.
