HNTB Elevates Sheahan to Lead Illinois Office Operations

Engineering and infrastructure firm HNTB has promoted Anne Sheahan to Illinois Office Leader and Vice President, effective immediately. Sheahan will direct operational management, business development and client relations for the company's Chicago-based office while continuing to lead transportation and infrastructure programs across the state. Since joining HNTB in 2021, Sheahan has deepened partnerships with the Chicago Department of Transportation, Chicago Department of Aviation and Chicago Transit Authority. Her work has centered on strategic planning for transportation infrastructure initiatives. Sheahan brings more than 20 years of public sector experience, most recently serving as First Deputy Chief of Staff for the City of Chicago. She previously held positions as Deputy Mayor for Infrastructure and Services and Chief of Staff for the Department of Streets and Sanitation. Eric Morris, President of HNTB's Great Lakes Division, praised Sheahan's transportation expertise and relationship-building capabilities as valuable assets to the firm's Illinois practice.
