Hong Kong Air Cargo will begin weekly round-trip charter flights to Brisbane starting August 29, with service scheduled for Saturdays. The expansion into Queensland positions the carrier to capitalize on trade corridors between East Asia and Oceania. The carrier launched a dedicated freighter service to Mumbai earlier this month as part of broader network development. Hong Kong Air Cargo has aggressively expanded European operations since entering the market in October 2023. The airline has established services to Milan, Liege, Oslo, London Stansted, Birmingham, Glasgow Prestwick, East Midlands and Cyprus. The airline cited e-commerce demand as a growth driver, though recent European volumes have been pressured by new EU charges on low-cost packages. Management indicated continued focus on key market expansion and long-haul route development.
