Hudson Bay Railway is strengthening its position in Canada's mining sector with new mineral concentrate movements from Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The 627-mile short line connects with CN in The Pas and terminates at the Port of Churchill. HBRY will haul concentrate from Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan's northern operations via its Flin Flon subdivision to eastern Canadian markets. The carrier is also continuing zinc concentrate shipments from Hudbay's Snow Lake operations for the third consecutive year. Material moves north to the Port of Churchill, where it is unloaded and prepared for export to European markets at the facility's dedicated critical mineral storage area. AGG, which operates both the railway and port, cited the moves as evidence of HBRY's growing importance to regional resource development. Company officials noted potential future rail infrastructure expansion between Flin Flon and the McIlvenna Bay mine, underscoring the carrier's strategic role in supporting trade diversification and connecting northern producers to global markets.
