Hydra Sacramento Earns Cal/OSHA's Highest Safety Recognition

The Sacramento warehouse operation Hydra has received California's Voluntary Protection Program Star designation, the highest safety honor offered by Cal/OSHA. The facility is only the second warehouse in California to achieve the distinction among 63 active Star sites statewide. Patriot Rail, which acquired Hydra in 2023, said the award reflects a workplace culture emphasizing accountability and injury prevention that exceeds regulatory standards. CEO Brandy Christian noted the recognition demonstrates how comprehensive safety practices across all organizational levels strengthen both employee protection and service delivery.
