Hyundai Glovis, the logistics arm of Hyundai Motor, will establish a finished vehicle import terminal at Amsterdam's port. This marks the company's first exclusive European automotive logistics hub. The facility launches January 2027 and will accommodate three pure car and truck carriers simultaneously, with capacity for over 20,000 vehicles. Rail connections and pre-delivery inspection capabilities are included. European automobile imports are forecast to climb to 11 million units from 10 million units previously. Germany and Benelux nations represent roughly 28% of European vehicle demand, making Amsterdam strategically positioned to serve major consumption regions. The operation reduces port dwell times and streamlines dealer delivery networks through improved inland transport connections. Glovis also aims to lower transportation emissions by expanding rail utilization through the hub. The Amsterdam facility follows earlier hubs in Pyeongtaek, South Korea and Philadelphia.
