IATA is rolling out its CASS settlement service across Latin America as regional air cargo activity accelerates. Domestic CASS operations launched in Mexico in April, where the segment moved over 125,000 tonnes in 2025, representing 15.8% of total Mexican air cargo traffic. First-quarter 2026 data shows domestic routes strengthening. Monterrey-Mexico City climbed 50.9% year-over-year and Tijuana-Guadalajara gained 36%. Mexico will become the second nation after the United States to deploy IATA FlexiPay, enabling real-time billing and flexible payment options. Paraguay will launch CASS Export services in late 2026 following 225% volume growth to 42,000 tonnes last year. Brazil, which handled 791,000 tonnes annually, will receive domestic CASS capabilities in early 2027.
