Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis President Neel Kashkari acknowledged that policymakers lack clarity on how far interest rates must rise to restrain persistent price growth. He cited five years of supply-chain disruptions that have complicated the inflation fight and said the central bank must continue its effort to tame inflation.

Kashkari's remarks come as price pressures remain elevated across multiple economies. Pakistan's inflation held above 10% in September, with energy costs staying high amid Middle East tensions disrupting Gulf supply flows. Switzerland saw inflation climb to a two-year peak driven by oil prices and currency fluctuations. Despite softer-than-expected data in some measures, inflation remains elevated globally, complicating the outlook for central banks managing their rate paths.
