Kenvue Canada achieved significant fuel cost reductions through a year-long electric vehicle pilot launched by Fuel Transport in January across the greater Toronto area. The Class 8 electric truck serving Kenvue's short-haul, multi-stop distribution route generated 44.7% in diesel savings over five months of operation. Fuel Transport VP of Operations Peter Perrella indicated the evaluation has exceeded expectations and could extend into other markets. The logistics carrier emphasized the pilot prioritizes understanding long-term operational viability of electric trucks in urban environments rather than capitalizing on near-term fuel cost fluctuations. Kenvue, the personal care products manufacturer behind brands including Aveeno, Listerine and Neutrogena, participated in the evaluation to assess sustainable transportation integration within active supply chains. Fuel Transport remains open to expanding partnerships with companies pursuing environmentally focused logistics solutions.
