KLN Launches Europe-Middle East Ground Service as Air Capacity Constraints Persist

KLN Logistics Group has introduced a road feeder service spanning 10,500 kilometers between Europe and the Middle East, positioning the overland route as a cost-competitive alternative to airfreight. This comes as Middle East air cargo capacity continues recovering from regional conflict impacts.

The service connects Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Jordan, and Egypt with transit times of 15 to 25 days. KLN manages the full corridor under single-contract accountability, handling customs clearance, permits, border coordination, and escorted transit procedures.

The offering accommodates non-stackable palletized cargo up to 23 tonnes per truck, including dangerous goods shipments. Complete original shipping documentation is required at origin, and cargo insurance must be arranged by the shipper. Martin Stoekenbroek, KLN's managing director for EMEA, noted the service fills a gap between ocean and air freight options during a period when direct regional access remains constrained.
