Kuwait Airways Refutes Air Cargo Suspension Claims

Kuwait Airways has dismissed reports of air cargo operation shutdowns at Kuwait International Airport. The carrier stated that all airfreight activities continue without interruption and operate in full compliance with applicable security and safety standards while coordinating with relevant authorities. Kuwait's Directorate General of Civil Aviation corroborated this position, declaring that air cargo and goods transport flights remain operational. The carrier had announced temporary restrictions on agent-delivered cargo from September 9–25, excepting specialized shipments and express mail. While Kuwait Airways did not publicly explain the restrictions, operational congestion and cargo backlogs at its Kuwait International Airport facility prompted the measures. The airline's official cargo services page indicates its facility handles import and export operations continuously throughout the day.
