LATAM has coordinated two freighter operations transporting roughly 100 tons of emergency supplies to Venezuela following earthquakes that struck June 24. The quakes killed over 900 people and injured more than 3,000. The flights operate between June 27 and 30 from Bogotá to Caracas at no cost through the carrier's Solidarity Plane initiative. Cargo includes field hospital equipment, water and sanitation systems, generators, medical supplies, hospital beds, and personal protective gear. A separate passenger flight on June 27 moved 170 responders including firefighters, rescue personnel, medical teams, and Colombian foundation representatives to support relief operations. Since its 2021 launch, LATAM's Solidarity Plane programme has delivered 23,000 passengers and over 9,000 tons of cargo across South America, maintaining partnerships with more than 50 organizations across five countries.
