Attorneys now represent at least 45 Mexican commercial drivers in allegations of forced labor and fraudulent recruitment practices in the U.S. trucking industry. The federal lawsuit filed in the Southern District of California names Omega Compliance Solutions LLC and seven carrier defendants: South Star Logistics, Trius Trucking, New Legend, B&B Transport, A&I Transport, Diesel Direct and Diesel Direct West. The original complaint involved 22 drivers, expanded to 29 plaintiffs in an amended filing. Drivers allege they were recruited between 2022 and 2025 through false promises of legal work authorization, employment-based visas and permanent residency, then subjected to coercive labor conditions. Plaintiffs' counsel indicates the investigation remains ongoing and additional defendants may be named pending further evidence. The case remains pending and allegations are unresolved.
