The Port of Long Beach and Bali Express Services officially unveiled a Green Truck Corridor spanning roughly 125 miles between the California gateway and Mexico. The corridor underscores the importance of clean freight movement on a route handling the bulk of U.S.-Mexico trade.
Mexico trade reached $873 billion annually in 2025, with nearly 90% moving via land transport. Bali operates 32 compressed natural gas and six electric vehicles, with plans to add 20 CNG and 20 EV trucks this year, including Tesla Semis.
The carrier aims for a fully zero-emissions fleet exceeding 350 trucks by 2040. Port officials noted the initiative will reduce air pollution along a major international trade lane. Over the past year, Bali's green operations were equivalent to removing 1,930 vehicles from roads.
Bali Express is among 43 companies eligible for the port's new Zero-Emission Truck Early Leaders Award, recognizing early adopters of clean truck technology.
