A.P. Moller-Maersk has assumed management of Puma's three highly automated distribution centers across the United States, converting them into multi-client facilities to boost capacity utilization and revenue generation. The facilities span approximately 2.3 million square feet across Torrance, California; Phoenix; and Whitestown, Indiana. Under the contract logistics agreement, Maersk operates the distribution network while Puma retains its existing long-term partnership for integrated logistics services including ocean shipping, airfreight, customs clearance and inland transportation. Beginning in 2027, the Torrance facility will serve as Maersk's first North American multi-client AutoStore deployment, capable of processing roughly 20 million units annually. The centers feature automated storage and retrieval systems, enabling fast order fulfillment for retail stores, wholesale customers and e-commerce channels. Unused warehouse capacity will be leased to other brands seeking rapid, automated fulfillment near major transportation hubs and consumer markets.
