Robert Wilson, a Memphis truck driver, faced multiple charges after authorities discovered him attempting to exchange a frozen chicken shipment valued at $110,000 to settle a drug debt. Armada Freight assigned Wilson, an independent contractor operating under the company's authority, to transport the Koch Foods cargo from Morton, Mississippi to Swedesboro, New Jersey. The incident occurred in September when police interrupted the transaction behind an Economy Inn. Officers observed multiple individuals unloading frozen cargo from Wilson's semi-trailer. The operation led to 12 arrests, recovery of three firearms, and numerous drug charges. Wilson told police he owed the drug debt to an orange-shirted man driving a blue SUV. Investigators found 30 cases of frozen chicken in the blue SUV and 50 boxes in a 2009 Nissan Armada. Officers also recovered handguns, marijuana, and fentanyl during the investigation. Armada Freight confirmed Wilson lacked authorization to distribute any merchandise.
