Motive, Highway Restore Data Connection After Dispute Resolution

Motive and Highway have restored electronic logging device data access for carriers who authorize the connection, ending a disruption that emerged after Motive limited the API connection and indicated Highway would need to compensate it for the data. The two companies said they reached an agreement to resume normal data frequency between their platforms without requiring carrier or broker action. Both companies emphasized carrier control and transparency regarding data authorization and use. The firms are negotiating to revise their existing contract to better address current operational needs. Motive and Highway also indicated plans to collaborate on improving data quality, reducing system latency and enhancing experiences for their joint customers. Jordan Graft, CEO of Highway, stated the resolution protects carrier choice while advancing broker and carrier capabilities. Shoaib Makani, Motive co-founder and CEO, said the agreement supports customers and clarifies data usage parameters. The joint statement does not address whether compensation will be paid between the companies.
