Mountain Valley Express, a regional less-than-truckload carrier based in Manteca, California, has ceased all operations effective July 7, 2026. The carrier operated 13 terminals across California, Arizona and Nevada and provided warehousing and logistics services alongside its trucking operations. The company operated 277 power units at the time of shutdown, according to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration records. Mountain Valley Express announced a major restructuring in late 2024 that included approximately 105 job cuts following its integration of DC Logistics and GLS U operations. The company had previously announced aggressive expansion plans. Creditors have been notified and a claims process has been established for outstanding liabilities.
