MSC Air Cargo Orders Five Boeing 777-8F Freighters

MSC Air Cargo has ordered five Boeing 777-8F freighters, the latest carrier to back the next-generation widebody model. Deliveries are expected in the early 2030s. The order was unveiled at the Farnborough International Airshow and aligns with the airline's expansion plans across Europe, Asia and the Americas. MSC Air Cargo began operations in 2022 and currently operates seven Boeing 777-200 Freighters. The new aircraft will enhance long-haul capacity and support network development. Chief Executive Jannie Davel cited the 777-8F's efficiency, range and capacity as key factors, along with sustainability benefits. Boeing Senior Vice President Brad McMullen highlighted the freighter's class-leading efficiency and capability to connect global hubs. The order signals strong confidence in long-haul cargo demand. MSC joins China Southern Air Cargo and China Airlines as recent 777-8F customers.
