New Gulf Coast Port Terminal Approved to Handle 2 Million Containers Annually

Federal regulators have granted a permit for construction of a major container terminal on the U.S. Gulf Coast. The new facility will handle 2 million twenty-foot equivalent units annually. The approval addresses capacity constraints at existing regional terminals and provides shippers with additional cargo routing options.
