Recent vessel deliveries underscore growing volumes on Asia-Latin America corridors. Imabari Shipbuilding delivered the 13,932 teu ONE Symphony, which will join Ocean Network Express's AX3 service operated with MSC and Hapag-Lloyd. The vessel represents the 14th unit in a series of at least 15 ships under construction for ONE across Imabari Group yards. MSC took delivery of the 10,300 teu MSC Licia X from Zhoushan Changhong International Shipyard, marking the sixth of ten dual-fuel vessels ordered in August 2023 at approximately $130 million each. The ship will operate on MSC's solo Far East-East Coast South America Carioca loop, which deploys 15 vessels ranging from 8,000 to 12,000 teu. Zhoushan Changhong completed the vessel 11 months ahead of schedule. New Times Shipbuilding delivered the 8,454 teu CMA CGM Austral to Eastern Pacific Shipping, the final unit in a four-ship series chartered to CMA CGM for its Far East-Mexico service.
