Norfolk Southern will lease its Doraville rail corridor and transload terminal in northeast metro Atlanta to short line operator Jaguar Transport Holdings LLC. The facility, positioned near I-285 and I-85, serves an industrial and logistics cluster through local switching and truck-to-rail connectivity. Jaguar will provide dedicated local switching service and execute capital improvements to expand yard capacity. NS expects the arrangement to improve interchange fluidity and enable new industrial and warehouse development. Jaguar operates 13 short lines and multiple transload facilities across the U.S. and has demonstrated strong early-stage volume growth following similar local operations takeovers. The agreement includes performance standards and growth covenants. NS said the move aligns with its broader short line strategy and supports its long-term vision for a combined network with Union Pacific, which already partners with Jaguar in Kansas City.
