Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said artificial intelligence capital expenditures could reach $4 trillion annually, far exceeding Wall Street consensus estimates. Speaking during the company's earnings call Wednesday, Huang noted current hyperscaler spending sits at $1 trillion and is growing toward the three to four trillion-dollar range. CFO Colette Kress added that analysts now forecast hyperscale capital expenditures will exceed $1 trillion in 2027, with infrastructure spending potentially reaching $3 to $4 trillion annually by decade's end as agentic AI proliferates across industries. Current Wall Street forecasts peg hyperscaler capex at $1.03 trillion in 2028—roughly one-third to one-quarter of Huang's projections for two years later. Analysts said if Huang's vision proves accurate, consensus estimates will be revised upwards.
