Nvidia will establish its first research center in Singapore, marking the chip maker's second Asia Pacific lab. The city-state is accelerating its push to become a regional artificial intelligence hub. The facility will concentrate on advancing embodied AI and improving efficiency across AI infrastructure through collaborations with universities, industry partners and government bodies. Singapore is simultaneously launching a testbed later this year to enable private sector firms to jointly design, deploy and validate commercially viable robotic technologies. Early adopters include logistics and delivery operators Certis, DHL, Grab and QuikBot. The government will partner with robotics companies Slamtec, Unitree and QuikBot through a new Center for Intelligent Robotics. Planned trials span food and parcel delivery, cleaning and security operations designed to augment human-led services.
