Oman Air is pursuing strategic partnerships with dedicated freighter operators to expand cargo capacity across Asia, Europe and Africa. Muscat will serve as the central hub. The airline's head of cargo indicated interest in routes connecting Hong Kong, Vietnam and Thailand to European markets through the Middle East, while also developing African corridors. Partnership arrangements would extend beyond standard block space agreements to include collaborative routing and scheduling decisions. The initiative aims to feed higher-yielding cargo into the airline's existing bellyhold operations while establishing a foundation for potential future widebody freighter deployments. Separately, Oman Air's recently launched road feeder service between Muscat and Dubai moved more than 200 tonnes daily across multiple truck runs in June, connecting ground transport with widebody flight capacity in Muscat.
