Polymarket has appointed Lisa Mantil, a Goldman Sachs partner with nearly 30 years at the investment bank, as head of institutional growth. Mantil previously led Goldman's ETF accelerator, which assisted clients in launching investment products. The prediction market exchange is intensifying efforts to court institutional capital after retail traders drove initial growth in trading volumes. Mantil joins recent hires including Chief Financial Officer Warren Jenson, who previously worked at Amazon and Delta Air Lines. Polymarket Chief Executive Shayne Coplan said Mantil's experience and relationships across the institutional world position her to expand the company's business. Prediction markets are pivoting toward institutional liquidity as platforms seek to mature beyond retail participation, particularly in sports-related trading segments.
