PrePass and Kodiak AI have integrated autonomous truck inspection data directly into state roadside screening systems. Operations are commencing in Texas and Louisiana. Safety inspection records from Kodiak's driverless vehicles now flow through PrePass's established weigh station bypass platform, allowing enforcement personnel to verify clearances and authorize bypass decisions. Additional instructions can be transmitted when needed. Kodiak targets commercial driverless operations on public highways by late 2026. The integration uses the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance's Enhanced Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspection Program, which certifies autonomous trucks free of safety defects for up to 24 hours of operation. PrePass operates 581 weigh station sites across North America. CVSA leadership endorsed the collaboration, noting that inspection and enforcement processes must evolve alongside advancing vehicle technologies while maintaining transportation safety standards.
