Project44 announced it is separating into two focused businesses reflecting divergent customer needs in the logistics technology market. The original project44 will continue serving enterprise shippers with transportation management systems, visibility platforms, yard management and last-mile solutions. LSP44 launches as a dedicated, AI-native entity targeting logistics service providers with infrastructure purpose-built for brokers, forwarders and third-party logistics companies. Founder and CEO Jett McCandless said the split recognizes that shippers and logistics service providers require fundamentally different technology approaches. Project44 began in 2014 serving logistics providers before expanding into the shipper market. Nine of the ten largest global logistics service providers currently operate on infrastructure that will power LSP44. Both entities share underlying agent network, carrier API infrastructure and logistics data assets while maintaining separate product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies.
