Qatar Airways Cargo will increase available capacity by 12% through dedicated freighter operations and expanded belly space on passenger aircraft. The carrier relaunched Boeing 777 freighter service to Vienna, operating via Budapest, and added a second 777F to Warsaw on the same routing.
New passenger routes launching this summer will provide additional cargo lift. A twice-weekly Caracas service via Bogotá begins July 22 with 20 tonnes of bellyhold capacity each direction. Helsinki service resumes July 15 with four weekly flights offering 40 tonnes of cargo capacity, expanding to 70 tonnes when frequencies increase to seven weekly on August 1. Tokyo Haneda relaunches July 16 with initial capacity of 60 tonnes, growing to 105 tonnes with added frequencies.
Frequency increases across the network will drive additional cargo capacity. Addis Ababa flights upgrade to Boeing 777 passenger service with over 44 tonnes of weekly cargo capacity each way. Tunis flights increase from seven to 10 weekly with over 105 tonnes of weekly cargo capacity each way. Dallas flights increase from seven to 10 weekly with 54 tonnes of weekly cargo capacity each way. Houston passenger flights increase from three to five weekly, complemented by two weekly freighter flights offering 200 tonnes of capacity each way, for a total of 228 tonnes of weekly cargo capacity each way. New York flights increase from 11 to 14 weekly.
