Rail Vision Ltd. and Railserve, a Marmon Rail Company subsidiary, signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding on May 29 to broaden their collaboration in rail yard operations. The companies first entered a commercialization agreement in January 2024 for Rail Vision's ShuntingYard systems. Since then, the platform has evolved from an advanced driver assistance system into an active intervention tool supporting semi-autonomous rail yard operations. ShuntingYard detects and classifies objects within 218 yards (200 meters) across varying weather and lighting conditions while assisting with coupling procedures. The proposed expansion would explore additional deployments, new operational use cases, railcar mover applications, and broader yard solutions across Marmon Rail's network of more than 100 North American locations. A binding agreement must follow before formal expansion proceeds.
