Retailers are turning to automated systems to expand fulfillment capabilities and reduce order errors. Napa Auto Parts has partnered with automation providers to increase warehouse storage density and improve order accuracy. The automotive aftermarket retailer joins apparel brands in adopting the technology. Cutter & Buck opened a new automated distribution center in Grand Prairie, Texas, featuring more than 50,000 storage bins capable of processing over 1,200 bins per hour. The investments reflect mounting pressure on logistics operators to handle growing e-commerce volumes while controlling labor costs. Both retailers expect the systems to improve throughput and reduce fulfillment times for direct-to-consumer shipments.
