Roadrunner has begun offering less-than-truckload service connecting Canadian shippers to approximately 40 major metropolitan areas across the U.S., marking the carrier's expansion into cross-border markets. The service operates on a truck-only linehaul model with no rail involvement, designed to minimize transfer points and reduce transit times. The carrier's proprietary network spans more than 40 terminals and leverages independent drivers to serve the metro-to-metro corridor. Roadrunner implemented a 9% general rate increase effective in November to offset rising operational expenses and fund continued network improvements. Chief Transformational Officer Nathalie de Champlain cited market cost pressures and investment requirements as drivers for the adjustment. Vice President Dave Black emphasized the service's direct routing capabilities and real-time visibility features as competitive advantages for shippers navigating cross-border logistics.
