Roehl Transport, ranked No. 57 among the nation's largest carriers, has begun operating autonomous trucks on regular freight runs between Dallas and Houston. Starting in April, the vehicles make four round-trip hauls weekly on the route. Kodiak's autonomous system powers the deployment, expanding driverless operations across multiple corridors including Oklahoma City, Atlanta, and El Paso. The partnership underscores mutual emphasis on safety in autonomous trucking operations. Kodiak maintains a fleet of 20 self-driving trucks in the Permian Basin through customer Atlas Energy Solutions. The company targets completion of its long-haul safety validation and full driverless operation launch by year-end 2026. Separately, Averitt Express added 8,500 square feet of enclosed dock warehouse space to its Ocala, Florida facility, bringing total warehouse capacity to over 36,000 square feet.
