Rotate, a global air cargo software and strategy firm, has acquired Data Build Company, a Dutch data engineering consultancy, to expand its consulting practice. The deal will support Rotate Data Services, which helps logistics and aviation companies develop data strategies and build data infrastructure from the ground up. Data Build Company brings experience constructing enterprise-scale data platforms for organizations across aviation, logistics, pharmaceuticals, finance, retail and government sectors. Rotate CEO Ryan Keyrouse said the air cargo industry struggles to convert raw data into actionable insights. Fragmented systems and poor data quality create obstacles to operational automation and technology investments. The combined team of strategy consultants and data engineers will help carriers address these foundational issues. Tom Schummer, Data Build Company managing partner, emphasized the importance of aligning data initiatives with business objectives before implementing new systems and capabilities.
